A police dog handler will be quizzed by the RSPCA and could face prosecution after two German shepherds were left to die in a car outside force headquarters on the hottest day of the year.
The dogs, which had been donated to the force, were found dead in a car parked outside Nottinghamshire Police headquarters.
It is unclear how long they had been left in the car as outside temperatures rose to 29C (84F). The RSPCA said temperatures inside the car could have soared to 47C (116F).

When i first had a pc some 20 years ago antivirus programs were not really needed but available …
15 years ago they were available and used often as viruses were popping up …
10 years ago we all needed an antivirus with the dawn of the internet and they used to take some 10 minutes to scan the computer …
5 years ago if you did not have one you were stupid and would no doubt have a virus, they took maybe half hour to scan your whole computer …
Nowadays we all have one and use them regularily but they can take up to 2 hours or more to scan your computer …
In ten years time an antivirus will probably mean having a day a week off the computer while it scans …
Well, think about it, computers get bigger, viruses bigger, better and more prevalent but antivirus software does not get any quicker!
Every year about this time it rears its ugly head. TV is disrupted, forums everywhere get invaded, the news carry the stories constantly, strawberrys go up in price and people seem to talk of nothing else!
